DETIKEXPOSE.COM, Tanjungpinang – Pemerintah Kota Tanjungpinang terus berupaya dalam meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan khususnya pendidikan dasar yaitu SD dan SMP. Untuk itu Walikota Tanjungpinang, H. Syahrul, S.Pd meresmikan pemakain Unit Sekolah Baru (USB) Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) 017 Tanjungpinang Timur di perumahan Alam Tirta Lestari, Senin (7/1).
Syahrul berharap Kota Tanjungpinang dapat menjadi kota pendidikan seperti beberapa dekade yang lalu, banyak orang-orang menyekolahkan anaknya di Kota Tanjungpinang tidak hanya dari Provinsi Kepri tetapi juga dari daerah luar Kepri. “Oleh karena itu untuk mewujudkan itu semua, kita sangat memerlukan kerjasama dan kerja keras yang baik dari semua kalangan,” jelas Syahrul.
Kepada para guru, Syahrul berpesan untuk selalu ingat dengan tugas dan kewajibannya sebagai guru untuk mendidik dan membimbing anak-anak. “Menjadi guru itu tidak hanya mengajar karena kalau hanya sekedar mengajar semua bisa mengajar tetapi untuk mendidik itu merupakan panggilan hati, dan ada hal yang perlu menjadi perhatian bagi kita saat ini bagaimana kita dapat menanamkan pendidikan moral, akhlak dan budi pekerti pada anak-anak kita sejak dini,” pesan Syahrul.
Peresmian ini ditandai dengan penandatanganan prasasti dan pemotongan pita oleh Walikota Tanjungpinang dan juga didampingi oleh Wakil Walikota Tanjungpinang Hj. Rahma, S.IP, Sekretaris Daerah Kota Tanjungpinang Drs. Riono, M.Si, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Tanjungpinang, Drs. Huzaifa Dadang AG, M.Si, jajaran kepala OPD, Camat Tanjungpinang Timur serta Lurah Pinang Kencana. ( redaksi )
