DETIKEXPOSE.COM, JAKARTA – Sasono Utomo TMII (Gedung Negara Indonesia) yang terletak di Jalan Raya Taman Mini, Jakarta Timur, akan jadi tempat pelaksanaan Musyawarah Besar (Mubes) Pers Indonesia 2018, yang akan diselenggarakan pada Selasa, 18 Desember 2018.
Sejarah singkat Sasono Utomo TMII ini, berdasarkan penuturan pengelola gedung, selama puluhan tahun sejak dibukanya Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Sasono Utomo TMII menjadi salah satu tempat yang dijadikan sebagai Gedung Penerima hampir semua tamu negara, yang sekaligus menjadi tempat memperkenalkan Indonesia di semua bidang: ideologi, politik, ekonomi, dan sosial-budaya. Oleh karena itu dinamakan Gedung Negara Indonesia.
Usai pemaparan tentang Indonesia, termasuk filosofi bangsa Pancasila dan sesandi Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, para tamu negara akan diajak keliling Indonesia dengan melihat anjungan-anjungan tiap provinsi yang ada di areal TMII. Sayangnya, sejak Presiden Soeharto lengser, kebiasaan penerimaan tamu negara di Sasono Utomo TMII itu tidak dilanjutkan.
Pada hari Selasa, 18 Desember 2018, Sasono Utomo TMII akan mencatatkan satu sejarah penting Bangsa Indonesia melalui penyelenggaraan Musyawarah Besar Pers Indonesia.
Ketua Tim Pelaksana Mubes Pers Indonesia, Wilson Lalengke yang juga orang nomor satu di jajaran Sekber Pers Indonesia sekaligus Ketua Umum Persatuan Pewarta Warga Indonesia (PPWI) ini mengatakan, bahwa dalam Mubes Pers Indonesia nantinya, pihaknya akan menggelar deklarasi serta penyampaian tuntutan Pers Indonesia.
“Dalam Mubes Pers Indonesia nantinya kami akan menggelar deklarasi Pembentukan Dewan Pers Independen serta menyampaikan aspirasi dan tuntutan Pers Indonesia untuk mewujudkan Kemerdekaan Pers dan kehadiran Negara dalam pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pers Indonesia,” pungkas Alumni PPRA-48 Lemhannas RI tahun 2012 itu.
