Komandan Lantamal IV Laksamana Pertama TNI R. Eko Suyatno, S.E., M.M., dalam sambutan yang dibacakan Wakil Komandan Lantamal IV Kolonel Laut (P) Imam Teguh Santoso, S.T., M.Si., antara lain mengatakan, kegiatan Komsos ini merupakan salah satu perwujudan dari tugas TNI dalam upaya membantu pemerintaqh di daerah guna meningkatkan jiwa nasionalisme, kegiatan ini juga merupakan kegiatan terpadu lintas sektoral antara TNI dengan pemerintah yang sasaranya meliputi upaya meningkatkan wawasan kebangsaan, kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara serta meningkatkan kesadaran bela negara.
Selanjutnya Komandan Lantamal IV mengatakan, sesuai tema “Melalui Komsos Kita Pelihara Netralitas Dan Kemanunggalan TNI Dengan Rakyat Untuk Mewujudkan TNI Yang Siap Melaksanakan Tugas Pokok”, melalui tema tersebut diharapkan akan terwujudnya komunikasi yang baik antara TNI dengan aparat pemerintah dan komponen bangsa, terjalinnya kesjasama TNI dengan mahasiswa dan generasi muda di daerah Tanjungpinangdan sekitarnya, tercapainya pemahaman akan pentingnya menjaga stabilitas dan keamanan perairan khususnya di wilayah perbatasan melalui upaya peningkatan wawasan kebangsaan, kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara serta meningkatkan kesadaran bela negara.
Dalam pelaksanaan Komsos tersebut para Mahasiswa STISIPOL Raja Haji diberikan beberapa materi diantaranya tentang Hukum Laut, Netralitas TNI dan Pengenalan Tugas Pokok TNI AL. Materi tersebut disampaikan Kepala Dinas Hukum Lantamal IV.
Wadan Lantamal IV pada kesempatan tersebut memberikan sepererangkat peralatan olah raga kepada perwakila STISIPOL Raja Haji yang diterima Pembantu Ketua III Bidang Kemahasiswaan.
Pelaksanaan Komsos tersebut dihadiri antara lain Kadispora Provinsi Kepri, Kakesbangpol Kota Tanjungpinang serta diikuti Mahasiswa baru dari semua jurusan STISIPOL Raja Haji. ( Herman )
