Dalam pembukaan contest surfing Nias pro 2018 ini, Kepala Dinas Bina marga propinsi sumatera utara ikut hadir untuk bisa melihat langsung dari pada usulan-usulan Bupati Nias selatan, bagaimana untuk meningkatkan infastruktur dalam mendukung pariwisata di Pulau Nias, khususnya dikabupaten Nias selatan.
