Jumaga juga melihat bahwa sepanjang kepemimpinan Gavin hubungan antara Indonesia dan Singapura semakin strategis. Hingga, akhirnya Pemerintah Singapura memperluas kerjasama dan meningkatkan status konsul Singapura menjadi Konsulat Jenderal pada tahun lalu.
Ditempat yang sama, Asmin Patros juga menyambut baik kehadiran Mark Low yang rencananya akan mulai bertugas pada 21 Agustus nanti. “Saya berharap Low dapat melanjutkan kebijakan bapak Gavin yang sudah baik. Pak Gavin ini cukup rajin mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan kita,” kata Asmin.
