Penjabat Wali Kota Tanjungpinang, Drs. Raja Ariza MM turun langsung menyerahkan sembako gratis tersebut.
Dalam arahannya, Raja Ariza secara singkat mengatakan bantuan sembako gratis ini merupakan program pemerintah yang diberikan kepada masyarakat yang tercatat dalam Basis Data Terpadu (BDT) Kota Tanjungpinang. “Sembako ini diberikan gratis, sebagai langkah untuk meringankan beban masyarakat dalam menjalani ibadah puasa dan menghadapi Hari Raya Idul Fitri. Semoga dapat bermanfaat dan dipergunakan dengan baik.”
Raja Ariza juga mengharapkan agar bantuan yang diberikan ini, jangan dilihat dari harganya, tetapi sebagai bentuk perhatian pemerintah kepada masyarakat yang tidak mampu. Ia juga ingin, momen ini menjadi ajang silaturahim. “Maknai pemberian ini sebagai wujud kepedulian pemerintah untuk masyarakat tidak mampu dan jadikan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini sebagai ajang silaturahmi antar sesama.” ucap Ariza.
Untuk wilayah Kecamatan Bukit Bestari terdapat 2.264 paket sembako yang akan diberikan dalam satu hari penuh oleh Penjabat Walikota Tanjungpinang dan turut didampingi oleh Kepala Dinas Sosial Kota Tanjungpinang, Agustiawarman, S.Sos. MM, Camat Bukit Bestari, Faisal Pahlevi, S.STP dan lurah se-Kecamatan Bukit Bestari.
Kegiatan ini diawali di Kelurahan Tanjungpinang Timur dengan jumlah penerima sebanyak 379 paket, Kelurahan Tanjung Unggat 685 paket, Kelurahan Tanjung Ayun Sakti 383 paket, Kelurahan Sungai Jang 561 paket dan Kelurahan Dompak 256 paket. Dalam paket tersebut berisi gula pasir, tepung terigu, mentega, minyak goreng dan sirup.
Penyerahan sembako gratis dari Dinas Sosial Kota Tanjungpinang ini akan berlanjut di Kecamatan Tanjungpinang Timur sesuai dengan jadwal pada hari Rabu, 30 Mei 2018 yang diawali pada Kelurahan Pinang Kencana.( Red )
