DETIKEXPOSE.COM, Jawa Barat- Presiden Joko Widodo pada Rabu pagi, 26 Desember 2018, meninjau pembangunan Bendungan Sukamahi yang terletak di Kecamatan Ciawi, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Pembangunan bendungan di wilayah hulu Sungai Cisukabirus ini merupakan bagian dari upaya pengendalian banjir di Jakarta.
“Ini salah satu upaya mengantisipasi banjir di Jakarta yang dikerjakan di hulu,” kata Presiden di lokasi peninjauan.
Bendungan ini difungsikan untuk menahan debit air dan mengurangi potensi banjir saat musim hujan khususnya di Jakarta karena Bendungan Sukamahi dan satu bendungan lainnya (Ciawi) diperkirakan akan mampu mengurangi potensi banjir di hulu Ciliwung hingga 30 persen.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima, pembangunan konstruksi Bendungan Sukamahi telah mencapai 15 persen dari keseluruhan. Sementara untuk pembebasan lahan akan sepenuhnya diselesaikan pada bulan Januari 2019. Bendungan tersebut ditargetkan untuk diselesaikan pada 2019 mendatang.
“Saya kira perkembangannya ini baik,” ucap Presiden.
Selain melakukan pencegahan banjir di sisi hulu, pemerintah pusat melalui Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat bersama dengan Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta juga melakukan upaya pencegahan dari sisi hilir dengan mengerjakan normalisasi Sungai Ciliwung dan lainnya. Normalisasi sungai mendesak dilakukan karena lebar sungai yang semakin menyempit.
“Di hilirnya (dilakukan dengan upaya) memperlebar Ciliwung, (membangun) sodetan Ciliwung ke BKT (banjir kanal timur), kemudian yang dilakukan Pak Gubernur sekarang membuat sumur-sumur besar resapan, dan drainase-drainase dibersihkan. Saya kira kalau itu berjalan semuanya insyaallah akan mengurangi banyak (potensi banjir),” tuturnya.
Saat melakukan peninjauan, Presiden Joko Widodo tampak didampingi oleh Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Basuki Hadimuljono, Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan, dan Wakil Gubernur Jawa Barat Uu Ruzhanul Ulum. ( **)
