Oleh karena itu Syahrul meminta bagi para kepala sekolah untuk dapat bnar menerima ilmu tentang Campak dan rubella ini. “Ibu dan bapak Kepala Sekolah dapat menyampaikan kepada wali murid bahwa dampak dari campak dan Rubella ini sangat bahaya sekali.” Jelasnya.
Syahrul juga menghimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat untuk dapat bersama sama berkontribusi dalam mensukseskan program pemerintah dalan mengeleminasi Rubella dan Campak.
“Masyarakat juga tentunya jangan khawatir semua yang kita lakukan tergantung niat ini merupakan niat baik yang memang harus dilakukan untuk generasi di masa mendatang.” Himbaunya.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan, Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (Dinkesdalduk KB) Kota Tanjungpinang, Rustam, SKM, M.Si juga menjelaskan bahwa Rubella dan Campak merupakan suatu penyakit yang sangat berbahaya yang penyebarannya sangat cepat sekali karena rubella dan camapak ini melalui udara. “Oleh karena itu Imunisasi MR sangat penting sekali bagi anak-anak kita.” Jelasnya.
Rustam juga menjelaskan bahwa ada 3 negara yang memproduksi Vaksin MR ini yang pertama Jepang yang hanya produksi untuk negaranya sendiri, Cina akan tetapi belum terverifikasi untuk digunakan dan yang terakhir India yang telah terverifikasi yang telah digunakan oleh 26 negara Islam termasuk Malaysia.
Rustam juga menjelaskan untuk capaian MR ini Kota Tanjungpinang merupakan kabupaten/kota yang memiliki capaian tertinggi. “Kota Tanjungpinang mencapai 69,3% dengan jumlah anak 38.828 anak dari 56.031 anak, akan tetapi untuk skala nasional masih jauh di bawah. Untuk mencapai target nasional yang harus kita tingkatkan adalah dari sekolah, karena dari sekolah yang ada di Kota Tanjungpinang capaiannya hanya baru 10%.” Ungkapnya.
