Detikexpose.com, Tanjungpinang – Kegiatan Gawai Seni Kota Tanjungpinang Tahun 2018 digelar sebagai ajang pelestarian budaya Melayu secara resmi dibuka oleh Penjabat Walikota Tanjungpinang, Drs. Raja Ariza, MM di Lapangan Pamedan Ahmad Yani, Rabu malam (25/4).
Gawai seni ini merupakan ajang kompetisi seni budaya tahunan yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang. Raja Ariza dalam sambutannya menyampaikan seni bukanlah panglima dalam kehidupan manusia, namun melalui seni ada ekspektasi terjadinya transformasi nilai ke arah yang lebih positif, mengingat di dalam kesenian terkandung beragam nilai kemanusiaan. “Pembangunan peradaban manusia selalu diwarnai atau identik dengan membangun nilai tersebut, karena itu kita melakukan berbagai kegiatan untuk mengembangkan nilai budaya.” Ungkapnya.
Ditambahkan oleh Ariza, tugas utama yang lazimnya dilakukan oleh masyarakat adalah mempertahankan, melestarikan, menjaga serta mewarisi budaya lokal dengan sebaiknya. “Kita harus mempertahankan dan menjaga seni budaya Melayu agar tidak terkontaminasi dari budaya asing. Walaupun tidak mudah upaya-upaya pelestarian budaya, kita harus tetap optimis dengan berbagai cara. Saya sangat mendukung kegiatan ini dan semoga dapat mengembangkan potensi pariwisata dan budaya daerah.” Lanjut Ariza.
Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang, Dra. Hj. Reni Yusneli, M.TP menyampaikan dalam laporannya mengatakan kesenian dan seni budaya perlu dipertahankan dan dijaga. Agar tidak mudah terkontaminasi oleh budaya asing yang merugikan. Nilai budaya meningkatkan harkat dan martabat bangsa. “Di harapkan melalui kegiatan Gawai Seni ini, akan berkembang potensi dari seniman-seniman untuk memperkaya kreatifitas seni di Kota Tanjungpinang. Kegiatan ini juga di harapkan mampu menarik minat pemuda-pemudi kota Tanjungpinang untuk lebih mencintai kesenian melayu khususnya Tari Melayu,” jelasnya.
Kategori perlombaan yang akan dilaksanakan pada Gawai Seni yang melibatkan peserta dari tingkat SD, SMP, SMA, Perguruan tinggi, Sanggar dan Umum. Dengan lomba yang terdiri dari lomba pantun untuk SD, lomba tari tradisi untuk SMP, lomba visualisasi puisi SMA dan Perguruan Tinggi, panggung penyair Kota Tanjungpinang dan lomba tari tingkat sanggar.
Event tahunan yang digelar oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang ini dimulai dari tanggal 25 – 28 April 2018 dan dibuka secara resmi dibuka oleh Raja Ariza, ditandai dengan pemukulan gong. Tampak hadir Anggota DPRD Kota Tanjungpinang Pimpinan Bank BTN Tanjungpinang, FKPD, Kepala OPD, LAM Kota Tanjungpinang, Kepala Sekolah, Penggiat Seni dan tamu undangan lainnya.( Herman)
