Turut hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut Bupati Nias Selatan, Dr. Hilarius Duha, S.H., M.H., Waka Polres Nias Selatan Kompol Bonggas Simarmata, S.H., Danlanal Nias yang diwakili oleh Mayor Ismon, Danramil Teluk Dalam Mayor (Inf) HT. Zega, Kejari Nias Selatan yang diwakili oleh Jaksa Fungsional Chandra Nasution, Sekwan DPRD Kabupaten Nias Selatan, Firman Giawa, sejumlah SKPD, Pejabat Utama Polres Nias Selatan, TNI, Dinas Perhubungan serta Saka Bhayangkara Polres Nias Selatan.
Dalam sambutan nya, Kapolres Nias Selatan AKBP Faisal F. Napitupulu, S.I.K., M.H., selaku Inspektur Upacara membacakan Amanat Kepala Korps Lalu Lintas Polri, yaitu Operasi Terpusat Patuh Toba 2018 dilaksanakan 14 hari, dimulai dari tanggal 26 April hingga 09 Mei 2018 secara serentak di seluruh Indonesia. ” Sasaran Prioritas Operasi Patuh Tahun 2018 antara lain Pengemudi yang melawan arus lalu lintas, pengemudi yang menggunakan handphone, pengemudi dibawah umur, pengemudi sepeda motor berboncengan lebih dari satu orang, pengemudi dan penumpang sepeda motor yang tidak menggunakan Helm, pengemudi yang berkendara melebihi batas, serta pengemudi kendaraan bermotor yang menggunakan Narkoba/ mabuk “, ujar Faisal.
Dalam pelaksanaan tugas Kepolisian, lanjut Faisal, di implementasikan dengan kehadiran Polri di tengah-tengah masyarakat, dimana Korlantas Polri menjabarkan Program ke – 11 angka ke – 6 , yaitu Polisi sebagai Penggerak Revolusi Mental dan Pelopor Tertib Sosial di Ruang Publik. Perkembangan Transportasi juga telah menginjak Era Digital, dimana Operasional Order Angkutan Publik sudah berada dalam genggaman ( Cukup menggunakan Handphone ). Modernisasi ini perlu di ikuti dengan Inovasi dan Kinerja Polri khusus nya Polantas, sehingga mampu mengantisipasi segala dampak yang akan timbul dari Modernisasi Transportasi tersebut. ” Dengan penindakan sasaran pelanggaran lalu lintas tersebut, maka diharapkan Operasi Patuh tahun ini dapat menekan jumlah korban fatalitas dan meminimalisir kemacetan lalu lintas serta terwujud nya KAMSELTIBCARLANTAS yang mantap “, tegas Faisal.
Dalam Upacara Apel Gelar Pasukan tersebut, Kapolres bersama Bupati Nias Selatan beserta Wakapolres, perwakilan Kejari, Dinas Perhubungan dan TNI melakukan pemeriksaan kesiapan pasukan dan kendaraan operasional yang akan digunakan, serta Penyematan Pita Tanda Operasi, sebagai tanda dimulai nya Operasi Patuh Toba Tahun 2018 di Kabupaten Nias Selatan.
