Detikexpose.com, Tanjungpinang – Penjabat Walikota Tanjungpinang, Drs. Raja Ariza, MM membuka secara resmi pelaksanaan turnamen sepak takraw Kampung Bulang, Rabu (11/4).
Dalam sambutannya, Raja Ariza sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan ini yang bisa menghadirkan 30 tim yang akan bertanding dalam turnamen ini. “Turnamen ini sangat luar biasa dan hebat. Ini mampu memberikan kontribusi untuk Kota Tanjungpinang pada bidang atlet sepak takraw. Kegiatan ini perlu diapresiasi dan didukung secara penuh apabila turnamen-turnamen seperti ini dapat dilaksanakan secara berjenjang.” Ujarnya yang disambut dengan tepuk tangan para peserta dan undangan.
“Raja Ariza juga menambahkan, sepak takraw dahulunya merupakan olahraga yang banyak digemari. “Kita berharap sepak takraw ini bangkit kembali dan menjadi olahraga yang digemari sebagaimana dahulu. Atlet Tanjungpinang pernah menjuarai hingga ke tingkat nasional. Kita merindukan hal-hal seperti ini, dimana masyarakat dapat melakukan aktifitas olahraga dan sebagai ajang silahturrahmi antar warga, sehingga anak-anak tidak hanya bermain gadget saja berselancar di dunia maya tetapi bisa berolahraga dan badannya akan sehat. Dengan demikian telah membantu pemerintah dalam menyiapkan generasi muda yang berprestasi.” Tambahnya.
Kepada peserta pertandingan dan masyarakat Kampung Bulang, Ariza mengucapkan terima kasih atas partisipasinya, dan berpesan agar selalu disiplin dan menjaga sportifitas dalam berolahraga. “Kepada masyarakat Kampung Bulang, atas nama Pemko Tanjungpinang saya mengucapkan terimakasih atas kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Dan saya berharap ini harus bisa menjadi concern untuk dijadikan event tahunan.
