Di Ketahui Wahyu pernah bertugas di Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Tanjungpinang dari tahun 2007 – 2010. Terkait penangkapan Wahyu oleh KPK tersebut, Santonius Tambunan SH MH, Humas Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Tanjungpinang kepada wartawan, Rabu (14/3/2018), menyebutnya sebagai pukulan terhadap Mahkamah Agung (MA) pada umumnya dan Pengadilan Negeri pada khususnya.
Di sebabkan , karena penangkapan itu terjadi di saat MA tengah gencar-gencarnya memberantas penyimpangan di lembaga peradilan. Hal itu sesuai dengan Maklumat KMA RI No: 01/ Maklumat/ KMA/ IX/ 2017 tanggal 11 September 2017. Maklumat yang sudah disosialisasikan ke seluruh PN, PT (pengadilan tinggi) di Indonesia, ditegaskan MA akan memberhentikan Pimpinan MA atau pimpinan badan peradilan di bawahnya. Pemberhentian dilakukan secara berjenjang mulai dari atasannya langsung. Apabila ada bukti bahwa proses pengawasan, dan pembinaan oleh pimpinan tersebut tidak dilaksanakan berkala dan berkesinambungan. (Herman)
