Eko menyebutkan, kebakaran itu terjadi di lokasi alat-alat keselamatan Lanud TNI AL Tanjungpinang .
Sampai saat ini belum di katahui apa penyebab kebakaran hebat tersebut.
Sejumlah mobil pemadam kebakaran berusaha memadamkan api, bahkan mobil Damkar milik Pemko Tanjungpinang juga ikut dikerahkan untuk mejinakkan sijago merah tersebut.
Tampak sejumlah anggota Polisi Militer (Pinak), anggota TNI AL serta Satpol PP berjaga di depan pintu masuk Mako Lanud TNI AL Tanjungpinang.
