JAKARTA.detikexpose.com- Presiden Joko Widodo ( Jokowi) telah memiliki kriteria yang akan mengisi kursi Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI). Hal ini menyusul akan berakhirnya masa jabatan Agus Martowardojo pada Mei 2018. Menurut Jokowi, calon Gubernur BI harus memiliki sejumlah kriteria, seperti mampu memberikan kepercayaan kepada pasar, paham soal kondisi ekonomi makro dan moneter Indonesia, serta mampu menjaga tingkat inflasi yang rendah.
“Tentu saja yang bisa memberikan kepercayaan pasar, mengenai hal-hal berkaitan makro ekonomi kita, moneter, inflasi,” ujar dia usai menghadiri Dies Natalis Ke-68 Universitas Indonesia (UI), Depok, Jawa Barat, Jumat (2/2/2018).
Jokowi mengungkapkan, kepercayaan pasar terhadap BI sangat penting. Sebab hal ini juga berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan investasi di dalam negeri.
“Saya kira kepercayaan publik kepercayaan pasar sangat diperlukan untuk Gubernur BI,” kata dia.
Namun demikian, Jokowi mengaku belum mengantongi nama yang akan diajukan kepada DPR RI. Sebab, dirinya juga masih mempunyai waktu hingga akhir Februari untuk mengusulkan nama kepada anggota dewan.
“Kan masih sampai akhir Februari. Tapi belum masuk ke saya,” tandas Jokowi. (Red)
